SIMNA Resource Hub
How to get involved with SIMNA in 2025
We have five great ways to get involved with SIMNA this year, whether you’re a current member looking to get more involved, have been part of our wider network for a while or are new to social impact measurement.
Help shape our Resource Hub as part of the Editorial Working Group
SIMNA’s Resource Hub launched last year, bringing together the best resources on Social Impact Measurement and Social Value from Australia and around the globe. To keep the content fresh and relevant, we’re looking for volunteers to help identify new resources and review those that have been submitted for inclusion. We’re envisaging that the group will undertake a quarterly review process asynchronously, plus occasional online meetings. Time commitment may vary depending on how many resources there are to review! Contact us for more information if you’re interested in getting involved.
Contribute to SIMNA’s own impact measurement by becoming a member of the Impact Measurement Working Group
SIMNA’s Impact Measurement Working Group is looking for members to support its work in delivering the organisation’s own impact measurement framework and activities. We’re looking for members who are wanting to apply their experience or want to grow their knowledge through working with the existing team, to advise the organisation and demonstrate its impact. The group meets monthly online, with about 1-2 hours of work expected per month in total. Contact us to express your interest in joining the group.
Join your local Organising Committee
Our Queensland and Western Australia Organising Committees are looking for new members. You don’t need to be an experienced social impact measurement professional. You just need a passion for all things social impact, a desire to connect with like-minded individuals and enthusiasm to help shape our activities for 2025. If this is you, we’d love to hear from you! Read more about joining an organising committee or contact us to find out more.
Upskill through training and accreditation
If you’re interested in better understanding the impact of your program, organisation or investment, or in supporting other organisations to do so, then why not join our two-day accredited Social Value and Social Return on Investment (SROI) practitioner training course? Courses run several times throughout the year, with the next two taking place in Sydney in May and Melbourne in June.
If you’re keen to demonstrate your understanding of how to apply the Principles of Social Value, we’d encourage you to take the Social Value and Impact Management Exam. Successful completion of the exam leads to Social Value Associate Status, an internationally recognised qualification in social value and impact management. Find out more and apply online today!
