How to join your local Organising Committee
SIMNA Organising Committee members commit to a 12-month term, from January to December each year. Therefore, we are not currently looking for new members. However, additional opportunities to get involved may arise during the year and we will share these via our newsletters and on LinkedIn.
What are Organising Committees?
Organising Committees bring SIMNA to life at a local level. They create the spaces for our network to meet, connect, learn, share and support. They organise and engage in social and subject-matter specific events, build the SIMNA network, socialise and network with like-minded individuals. The world is our oyster – to positively impact!
What do committee members do?
Committee members help shape their committee’s plans for the year. They play a lead and/or supporting role in organising one or more event/s per year including; contacting, engaging and supporting presenters, sourcing venues and other resources, as well as contributing creative ideas for the event e.g., developing run sheets, organising prep meetings. Each member commits a minimum of two hours a month for the year, including attending a one-hour monthly committee meeting, plus other time as volunteered for special events.
What do you need to join an organising committee?
Enthusiasm for social impact measurement, willingness to take part in events and networking and to be a registered SIMNA member (or be prepared to sign up).
