Which 2020 SIMNA Award Should I Apply For?

October 12, 2020 By Administrator

Wow, time flies! There are just 5 days left to submit your entry to the 2020 SIMNA Awards! The deadline is Friday 16 October 2020.

Now in their sixth year, the SIMNA Awards celebrate the work of Australia’s social impact measurement trailblazers and recognise those organisations and initiatives achieving the best possible outcomes for all Australians, our communities and our environment.

How are you tracking?

Not started yet? That’s okay! You’re in good company. The application form has seven short questions. You can preview the form and download it to shape your responses. Or you can start your application online, save it in draft, and return to it later.

  • Check out the Application Form(s) here!

There are four award categories to choose from. Which one best describes your impact measurement story?

  • Excellence in Social Impact Measurement, sponsored by Think Impact – Has your organisation been measuring its impact for a while? Have you got a robust data bank that shows what your impact is and how it is changing over time? Are you using the results to improve whole of organisation practice and decision-making? Keyword = scale.
  • Innovation in Social Impact Measurement, sponsored by Urbis – Have you developed a new and exciting impact measurement tool or technique? What’s unique about it? What social problem are you passionate about solving? What have been some of the most pressing challenges that you have had to overcome? Keyword = groundbreaking.
  • Outstanding Collaboration in Social Impact Measurement, sponsored by SVA Consulting – Have you formed a strong working partnership with one or more organisations to help you pursue your impact measurement objectives? What have been some of the benefits and the challenges of this approach? What have you learnt from one another? How has working together led to improved social outcomes for clients and beneficiaries? Keyword = partnership.
  • Effective investment in Social Impact Measurement, sponsored by Our Community – Are you a funder, a grant-maker, a philanthropist or a government department whose approach to impact measurement is driving social change? If so, we’d love to hear your story! How did you determine what was important to measure? What guidance or advice would you give to other funders starting out on this path? Keyword = leadership.

The countdown is on!

Friends, the deadline is this Friday, 16 October 2020. For further information please visit the SIMNA website or drop me an email at lisa@simna.com.au.
