Valuing the Social Impact of Volunteer-Based Programs: Surf Life Saving Australia

Join us for a SIMNA NSW Chapter workshop 4.30-6pm, 19 March at the Cosmopolitan Civil Societies Research Centre, UTS City Campus Level 3, Mary Ann House, 645 Harris Street, Ultimo, Sydney.

In the workshop we will:

(1) Outline a systemic social impact model and survey tool developed in collaboration with Surf Life Saving Australia
(2) Discuss how systemic impacts can shape the strategic objectives of community based non-profit organisations
(3) Outline practical ways managers can use social impact to for organizational development and program design.

Presenters: Prof Simon Darcy member of the Management Discipline Group at the UTS Business School; Dr Melissa Edwards Senior Lecturer in the Management Discipline Group at the UTS Business School; Vanessa Brown Development Manager for Surf Life Saving Australia.

Facilitator: Associate Prof Kristy Muir Kristy Muir, Research Director (Social Outcomes) at the Centre for Social Impact. Kristy has spent the last decade doing research and evaluations with government departments, NGOs and for profits.
