The latest SIMNA news – March 2016

March 24, 2016 By Administrator

Are you ready for Think Outcomes 2016?SIMNA is proud to convene the Think Outcomes Conference with the Centre for Social Impact (CSI) and the Australian Research Alliance for Children and Youth (ARACY). At Think Outcomes 2016, you will explore best practices in the field of outcomes measurement, the challenges and opportunities in the sector and to your organisation – and, most importantly, develop an understanding of what change can emerge from the outcomes we measure. The newly developed program features guests Dr Don Watson and David Kalisch, Agency Head of the ABS, amongst a treasure trove of fabulous panel discussions and workshops. It should be fantastic, and we hope you can join us in Melbourne on 12/13 April. For more information and tickets, please visit the Think Outcomes website.

SIMNA Awards 2016

We are excited to share that we received a great response to the SIMNA Awards and we can’t wait to announce the winners at the Think Outcomes conference on 12 April. A special thanks to Think Impact who are sponsoring the “Excellence in Social Impact Award” and our judges, Professor Kristy Muir, Anna Scott and Ross Wyatt. If you are interested in sponsoring Australia’s premier social impact awards – it is not too late! Please contact Christina Jarron or Simon Faivel.

Governance – we are incorporating!

We are almost there! Our consultations have finished and SIMNA is now incorporating. A very special thank you to our pro-bono lawyers, McCullough Robertson, who are supporting us navigating the maze of corporate governance to establish your organisation. We look forward to announcing the launch of SIMNA Ltd. in the near future. If you have any questions about this, please don’t hesitate to contact Simon Faivel or Russ Wood.

SIMNA Chapter eventsCheck out our blog for a recap of the SIMNA NSW March workshop on outcomes measurement and technology and stay tuned for more updates on what has been happening around the country in our next newsletter. Please do send updates for events to Christina Jarron.
And finally a big thank you to our volunteersLast year we had the privilege of being supported by some remarkable and hard working volunteers. Please join us in thanking Sam Loff, Mary-Anne Scully and Birgit Schonafinger for their contributions to SIMNA. Thank you for your critical contributions to SIMNA in 2015.We are happy to welcome Christina Jarron as our volunteer Marketing and Communications Volunteer. And we are on the look out for a co-ordinator for SIMNA nationals operations. If you are interested, please contact Simon Faivel.
Thank you to everyone who contributes to make SIMNA happen across the country and see you soon at Think Outcomes!
