Media Release: Social Impact Measurement Awards up for grabs!

August 5, 2020 By Administrator

SIMNA’s national Awards to showcase best practice in social impact measurement from around Australia have opened for applications.

Six years in, the Social Impact Measurement Network of Australia’s (SIMNA Ltd’s) national Awards attract applications from organisations, funders and individuals who share their journeys in social impact measurement.

Applications are now OPEN! There are four Award categories to choose from:

  • Effective investment in Social Impact Measurement – for funders, grant makers, philanthropists and governments whose impact in social impact measurement is driving real change.
  • Excellence in Social Impact Measurement – for organisations that are setting the benchmark for social impact measurement in Australia.
  • Innovation in Social Impact Measurement – for individuals, groups and all change makers that are developing, adapting or adopting social impact measurement in new and exciting ways.
  • Outstanding Collaboration in Social Impact Measurement – for social impact projects that are all about successful collaboration.

The SIMNA Awards would not be possible without the support of our incredible sponsors. This year’s sponsors will be announced in the coming weeks!

New to the 2020 Awards

This year, applications are being powered by the online platform SmartyGrants, making the application process easier than ever before.

We are also inviting applicants to share the social impact measurement adaptations they have made in response to the fires, floods and coronavirus, so the sector can learn from each other’s experiences. Dialogue on this topic is likely to become increasingly relevant.

Winners will be announced at our virtual event on December 2, which will bring together more than 300 impact measurement specialists, policy makers, funders and philanthropists. This unique digital networking opportunity is not to be missed. Register today!

Helen Sheppard, SIMNA Board Member said:

“In these unprecedented times, social impact measurement matters more than ever before. We’re looking forward to a fabulous virtual event, enabling people across Australia to join for the first time ever and showcasing the amazing capability Australia’s Social Impact Measurement sector has shown in the last 12 months. If you’re considering making an application, jump right in! The application process itself is straightforward, closing on October 16.”
