SIMNA NSW event: technology & outcomes measurement

February 26, 2016 By Administrator

Join us for our next SIMNA NSW event: Outcomes measurement made easy? Can technology improve outcomes measurement?

When: Wednesday, 16 March 2016 from 7:30 AM to 9:30 AM

Where: Uniting Level 2 – 222 Pitt St Sydney, NSW 2065

This event will chart the journey of The Brotherhood of St Laurence as they seek to integrate technology into their social outcomes measurement practices.

The Brotherhood of St Laurence is leading the way in developing an organisational framework for outcomes measurement across its entire business.  The lessons learned during the development phase provide valuable insights for all those setting out to measure both at a service level and an organisational level.

The Brotherhood of St Laurence has been working closely with software provider Blackbaud to implement the Efforts To Outcomes (ETO®) solution to leverage technology in a way appropriate to the business need.

ETO offers outcome-based, client-focused case management vs. compliance-based case management (“We don’t just count activities, we drive and measure impact”)

ETO is closely aligned to Results-Based Accountability™ principles to:

  • Create measurable improvements for clients and communities
  • Assists in gathering evidence during practice
  • Demonstrate achievement of outcomes to funders and the community at large

Our insights are from Blackbaud and from The Brotherhood of St Laurence.  Greg Simmons from Blackbaud will provide an overview of what technology can be used for and what it shouldn’t be used for, along with guidance on how to approach and work with an external provider of software solutions.

Amanda Pagan from Brotherhood of St Laurence will share both the lessons learned and provide valuable guidance for those embarking on a similar development path.

Hope to see you there!
