SIMNA Limited’s (SIMNA’s) Annual General Meeting is on 14 November 2019. The AGM is a time for celebration and reflection. It is also the time when SIMNA’s members elect and/or re-elect Board members to act on their behalf.
Background
SIMNA was formed as a non profit company limited by guarantee in 2016. We started with 3 Founding Directors.
At the first AGM in November 2016, 10 new Directors were elected to the Board, with two of the Founding Directors continuing in the role.
Since then, there have been several changes in the Directors of SIMNA as we establish ourselves as a respected member network for social impact measurement.
Re-election and Nomination
As at October 2019, there are 8 Directors of SIMNA. At this AGM, 5 of these Directors are up for re-election. We are excited that each of these 5 Directors are nominating for re-election for another 3 year term.
It is the current Board’s unanimous recommendation that members vote for these 5 Directors to continue as reappointed to ensure continuity, stability, and further growth of SIMNA.
We are also seeking 2 additional Board members to join. A short PD is available. Email lisa@simna.com.au for a copy to be sent to you.
As with previous years, any member is eligible to nominate for the Board. We encourage SIMNA members from diverse backgrounds to apply to be a Director. Please note that SIMNA Director positions are voluntary and there is no remuneration.

Timeline for Nomination
Nominations must be received by 12pm AEDT on Wednesday 30 October 2019. Please send your nomination via email to lisa@simna.com.au together with a (maximum) 250 word bio or statement of your intent to support SIMNA, alongside a photograph. Nominees must be a member of SIMNA.
Member Voting
Member voting for Board members will open (online) on Monday 4 November 2019 at 12pm AEDT and close at Monday 11 November, 2019 at 12pm AEDT.
Successful candidates
Successful candidates will be notified on Tuesday 12 November 2019, in time for the AGM on 14 November.
