Dr. Patrick Fong is an Associate Professor at Griffith University, coupling a distinguished academic career with significant industry experience. A Chartered Quantity Surveyor by profession, his expertise is concentrated in value management, value engineering and social value, demonstrated through impactful contributions in teaching, research, consultancy, and professional leadership. With over three decades of academic leadership and industry engagement, Dr. Fong brings a unique global perspective gained across Australia, Hong Kong and the UK.

He pioneered integrating Social Return on Investment (SROI) into Hong Kong’s built environment curriculum in 2020, receiving highly positive feedback. Dr. Beyond his academic achievements, Dr. Fong has provided strategic consultancy services to a diverse range of organisations, including government bodies and private sector entities, delivering specialised expertise in value engineering and value management.
