Blog – Working with Consultants event, Melbourne 2013 Minutes

July 8, 2013 By Administrator

SUMMARY

Our 2nd meeting for 2013 was another great success with great feedback from participants from sectors inc.  corporate, non-profit, social and business represented and networking at meeting’s end.

We had a very engaging facilitated conversation about finding, selecting, briefing, managing and getting the best from consultants for your social impact measurement project.

With top quality presenters (experienced social impact measurement consultants – Simon Faviel, Social Ventures Australia and Arjun Ravi, Net Balance) and a fabulous facilitator in Russ Wood (EM – Organisational Development & Strategy, Vincent Care Vic) we are proud to producing a written Guide to Managing Consultants for SIM – from this meeting!

We had many return attendees and plenty of new ones among 25 participants. Organisations represented included NAB Corporate Responsibility, Westpac Foundation, World Vision Australia, Good Shepherd Youth & Family, Fairtrade, Australian Centre for Corporate Social Responsibility (ACCSR), Net Balance, Swinburne, RMIT, Entura (Hydro Tas).

Many satisfied participants said they’d be back at future meetings. Lots approached Victoria’s convenor with ideas and feedback, including “best meeting yet!”
