Matthew Wilkins

Matthew Wilkins

With over 14 years of experience in the social sector, Matthew is deeply committed to driving systemic change that creates meaningful, long-term impact for individuals and communities. Matthews’ work has spanned strategy, change management, and senior advisory roles – bringing together leaders from across sectors to address complex social issues through collaborative, systems-level solutions.

Currently, Matthew is Evaluation and Learning Lead at  PLACE.

Matthew has completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Social Impact at the University of Western Australia, supported by a scholarship awarded in recognition of my contribution to the sector. This study sharpening his ability to bridge policy, practice, and research—and to drive innovation grounded in evidence and lived experience.

Matthew’s passion lies in creating the conditions for change: facilitating courageous conversations, translating complexity into strategy, and building the partnerships needed to shift systems. Whether it’s advising decision-makers, supporting frontline collaboration, or shaping long-term reforms, Matthew brings energy, insight, and a commitment to social justice.
