Mariam is passionate about the power of social change through the social justice movement. She started her career in the corporate world and ventured into the non-profit sector as a community development professional.

She believes a sustainable social impact is achievable through grassroots-led initiatives. Thus, she aspires to be part of such bottom-up collective efforts to achieve societal transformation. 

She has successfully worked collaboratively with faith-based institutions and community organisations for common good. With over a decade of program management experience both overseas and in Australia, she is passionate about Domestic and Family Violence and is a current White Ribbon Advocate in South Australia.
