Local impact measurement platforms & tools you should know about

SIMNA Queensland and AES QLD invite you to learn about some home-grown social impact measurement platforms and tools.

When: Tuesday 5 September 2023, 12.00-1.30 pm AEST

Where: Online (Zoom)

Event overview

This virtual event will provide an opportunity for evaluators & social impact professionals to learn about three different local impact measurement platforms & tools that have come out of Queensland.

Hear about an innovative storytelling platform, an easy way to track your giving impact, and tools to design, measure and adapt your program logic. This session will be facilitated by Rebecca Roebuck of Social Impax.

Meet the presenters

Sarah Mak, Folktale   

Sarah is a passionate entrepreneur driving change through real stories. She is the co-founder and CEO of Folktale, a technology platform with a mission to transform how organisations globally approach storytelling in order to monitor, evaluate and communicate their ongoing impact.
With a career spanning public health, global development, filmmaking and technology, Sarah is shifting how communities, programs and donors connect their hearts and minds through the power of story.

Josh Murchie, Little Phil 

Josh is Co-founder of little Phil, a micro-philanthropy platform designed to help empower charities for the future. He is also a fellow at Griffith University Yunus Centre for Social-impact Social Entrepreneur in Residence (SEiR), working with students, staff, Alumni, other SEiRs and the university to nurture and inspire the next generation of Social-Entrepreneurs.

Luke Everett, Torch/ Project IO 

Luke Everett is an IT professional that has spent the last 15 years working in International Development with teams working for Australian Department of Foreign Affairs, UK Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office, and US Agency for International Development. After working with teams to design and implement information management systems for stakeholder reporting he started Project IO with some colleagues to improve impact measurement and stakeholder engagement.
