Join us for the Social Value Challenge, a special SIMNA NSW Chapter workshop on 23 October generously hosted by Hub Sydney in Darlinghurst as part of the Changemakers Festival.
At SIMNA we believe everyone should give it a go, so let’s get our hands dirty doing a short analysis together and learn from each other! Register for this event on Eventbrite.
What is it?
The Social Impact Analysts Association (SIAA) is conducting the SIAA Challenge, an international online competition for social impact analysts. In Sydney, we are having a shorter, face-to-face version, using the same dataset. The data has been kindly provided by Canadian charity, Our House, which provides community, opportunity, support and housing to people affected with mental health, addiction and poverty issues.
How will it work?
We will split into teams and work together to choose, analyse and present one insight from the data. This is a fantastic opportunity to see how other people approach and communicate social impact measurement and get creative with your peers over a few drinks and nibbles. There will be a strong emphasis on presentation and discussion.
Who is it for?
This is an event for people of all skillsets and backgrounds. Analysts, caseworkers, marketing teams, philanthropists, policy makers, you. If you’ve ever thought about what you want and need from social impact measurement, this is a chance to understand what it’s like to do it yourself. If you’re a more experienced analyst, please come to share your skills, challenges and solutions!
Please bring your laptop or tablet if you have one. If you don’t have one, we’ll team you up with somebody who does.
