In Focus: Impact Measurement Best Practice at Mission Australia

July 15, 2020 By Administrator

SIMNA is a growing, learning network of members who believe that understanding and measuring social impact is critical to achieving the best possible outcomes for all Australians, our communities and our environment.

As a community of people who want resources allocated in an equitable, efficient and effective manner, and who have the skills in measuring and valuing what matters, this is the chance for our community to help guide Australia as we embark on a new order.

This is the fifth webinar of our ‘In Focus’ series.

About this event

Join us on 29 July 2020 for a deep dive into the world of impact measurement with Victoria Baird, Impact Measurement Specialist at Mission Australia.

Two years ago, the Mission Australia team was officially recognised when they took home the ‘Excellence in Social Impact Measurement’ Award at the 2018 SIMNA Awards Ceremony. Reflecting on this submission, the judges said:

“This is an excellent case study of what it takes to roll out social impact measurement across an entire organisation. It shows that it does not have to be complicated but thoughtful to make sure information is useful.

It demonstrates an excellent balance between being simple to implement and explain, whilst also being sophisticated in terms of the usefulness of the data for decision-making at all levels and its applicability to different parts of the organisation.

This example shows that all you need to start is to be open to learning as you go. It demonstrates the importance of bringing the whole organisation on the journey to ensure long-term success and commitment to new practices.”

See you there!
