Gerard Atkinson

Gerard Atkinson

Gerard Atkinson (he/him) is an Autistic professional with experience consulting on evaluation, strategy, marketing and analytics for governments, businesses and non-profit organisations in Australia, North America and Europe. He is Managing Director of Iris Ethics, which provides ethics review and advisory services to the evaluation, research, and social impact sectors.

He is committed to the ethical and inclusive use of evidence-based approaches to designing, delivering and measuring social impact. His professional research work has focused on the development and application of rubric tools, Bayesian analysis, and data visualisation software as a means of evaluating and communicating performance across portfolios of programs and complex systems.

Gerard is a member of the Australasian Autism Research Council and a member of multiple Diversity and Inclusion subcommittees for peak bodies in the evaluation and market research sector. He holds an MBA and an MA in Arts Management from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas; a GCertAut from the University of Wollongong; and a BSc(Honours) in Physics from the Australian National University in Canberra. He is also a Qualified Professional Researcher of the Research Society, and a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
