Queensland University of Technology Business School and SIMNA invite you to a seminar on social impact measurement – An academic research perspective of different stakeholder needs.
In this session we will discuss a range of approaches to social impact measurement within the academic literature, considered from a range of stakeholder perspectives – internal and external; funders and philanthropists. The session will be interactive with plenty of Q&A.
The presenters are –
Associate Professor Jo Barraket. Jo is a leader in social enterprise research in Australia. She has undertaken a wide range of evaluation and impact measurement activities with civil society and governments and has recently published on the challenges of impact measurement for small organisations.
Associate Professor Aziz Islam. Aziz is Associate Professor of Accounting at QUT. His work appears in numerous academic journals (including Accounting, Auditing and Accountability Journal, , Accounting and Business Research Journal, Critical Perspective on Accounting, and Australian Accounting Review). Aziz’s research projects include corporate social and environmental disclosure and accountability; accounting for social enterprises; human rights accountability; and measures to control organizational bribery.
Dr Belinda Luke. Belinda is a Senior lecturer in Accounting at QUT. Her research focuses on entrepreneurship, social enterprise and accountability. Belinda’s recent research projects include challenges of performance measurement faced by the third sector. Prior to joining academia Belinda was with a Big 4 accounting firm for nearly 10 years. .
