
Amy Lawton
Amy is a social policy, planning and research professional that has worked in government, not-for-profit, university and private sectors. She currently works at the University of Sydney on research projects in the areas of social cohesion and inclusive urban planning and design. Amy also undertakes independent social advisory and consulting work with a range of clients, businesses and organisations.
Amy’s skills are diverse. She is a project manager and coordinator with broad experience in demographic and community needs analysis, qualitative and quantitative research, community and stakeholder engagement, policy/strategy development and implementation, and evaluation. She is happiest when she is developing evidence-informed strategies or plans that deliver practical recommendations with real world application.
Amy has been a member of the SIMNA Western Sydney Committee since it began in 2018, and is passionate about showcasing the social impact measurement work happening in the region. She has also achieved Level 1: Social Value Associate status through the SVI Professional Pathway program.
